Summary

Brunei Hall is a Grade II listed building situated within the Bayswater Conservation Area. The property, owned by the Brunei Government, currently serves as student accommodation for Bruneian students pursuing educational opportunities in London. The building comprises five interconnected former Victorian townhouses that face the central gardens of Norfolk Square.

Extensive pre-application discussions were held with Westminster City Council, ensuring a collaborative approach to the design development, before the submission of a planning and listed building consent application in April 2025. The application demonstrates HCUK's planning and combined heritage expertise in navigating Westminster's complex development management framework, while effectively coordinating input from a wide team of external consultants including sustainability engineers, acoustic specialists, and building services professionals.
